APPLE-OAT COFFEE CAKE

Oat Streusel (below)

1 c all-purpose flour

1 c whole wheat flour

3/4 c brown sugar

1/4 c margarine, softened

1 c low-fat milk

3 t baking powder

1 t cinnamon

1/2 t salt

1/4 t ground nutmeg

1/4 t ground allspice

2 egg whites

2 c chopped and peeled apples

Heat oven to 350*. Grease square pan, 9x9x2 inches. Prepare Oat Streusel; reserve. Beat remaining ingredients except apples in large bowl on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl frequently. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in apples. Spread half of the batter in pan; sprinkle with half of the streusel. Top with remaining batter; sprinkle with remaining streusel. Bake 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm.
