BROWN GRAVY

1/2 c almonds or cashews

1/2 c water

2 c water

1/3 c whole wheat flour

dash of garlic powder

1 t chicken or beef-like seasoning

Blend almonds and 1/2 c of water till smooth in blender. Add remaining ingredients. Blend well, cook and bring to boil, stirring constantly. If too thick add more water. Makes 1 quart.
