CAROB-APPLE BROWNIES

3/4 c brown sugar

1 c shredded raw apple

3/4 c oil

1/2 t salt

1 t vanilla

1/2 c chopped walnuts

3/4 c carob powder

2 c rolled oats

Combine sugar, apple and oil. Beat until well blended. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Let stand for 10 minutes for oats to absorb moisture. Turn into oiled pan (8x8x1 1/2) . Bake at 350* for 25 minutes. Cut into squares when cool.
