5-MINUTE CAROB CAKE

1 c brown sugar

1 1/2 c whole wheat flour

1 1/2 c unbleached white flour

1 t salt

1/3 c carob powder

3 t Postum or other grain beverage

2 t health baking powder

2 t lemon juice

2 2/3 c thick nut or low fat milk

2 t vanilla

Mix first 7 ingredients together. Add wet ingredients together and add to dry ingredients mixing well. Bake in greased 8x12 inch glass pan at 350* for 35-40 minutes. Check with toothpick. After cake is cool, melt carob chips and spread on cake for icing if desired.
