CHIPATIS

1/2 lb whole wheat flour

1/2 lb all-purpose flour

2 t salt

2 t sugar

Mix flour, salt and sugar together. Add enough water to make a fairly stiff dough. Dough should be stiff but not too sticky. Knead it well, roll it out and place a little oil on dough and spread it all over. Knead it again and cut into small balls. Makes about 12. Roll it out again and spread a little more oil all over dough. Fold it and make into a ball and roll it round. Put the skillet on fire and when hot enough, put a little oil in and cook the Chapati turning both sides and making sure they turn golden brown.

Best to store them in a plastic bag or air tight container.
